跌跌不休的欧元

欧元本周一跌破1.14后创下2020年7月以来的新低,近几个月的颓势还在延续。

在全球发达经济体中,欧洲央行可以说是最为鸽派的央行之一了(另一个是日本央行)。当新西兰、英国、加拿大甚至美国都在不同程度收紧货币政策的同时,欧洲央行始终无动于衷。行长拉加德昨天再次祭出了“通胀暂时论”,认为加息将“利小于弊”,从而打压了市场对于明年加息的预期。美国和德国的10年期国债利差从7月的150bp走阔至目前的180bp。

由于能源价格和工资增速都暂时可控,且欧元区的预期通胀率刚刚超过央行2%的目标附近,并没有达到像美国那样夸张的程度,这些或许是拉加德仍旧保持谨慎的原因。另外,欧洲疫情的重燃令部分国家重拾社交距离限制,这为经济复苏增添了不确定性。

若今晚出炉的美国的10月零售销售数据好于预期,可能会继续提振已经站上95关口的美元指数,从而再次给欧元带来沉重打击。超卖且背离的技术指标是否能帮助汇价短线止跌回升呢?

欧系交叉货币对中,EURCAD同时跌穿了盘整区间和今年的低点,EURGBP和EURAUD同样大幅下挫。

而最为困扰的应该是瑞士央行。瑞郎对欧元升至去年以来的最高水平,瑞士央行对货币升值的容忍度可能也即将达到临界点,央行出手干预汇价的可能性正在升高,不过至少目前来看还未采取行动。瑞士央行的即期存款账户(Sight Deposit)余额没有大幅增长,这是我们在将来需要关注的央行是否实施干预的重要信号。

商品货币昨天表现出色,澳元领涨G10,可能是受到中国一系列较好经济数据的提振。纽元微涨。尽管美油和布油涨跌不一,但加元连续第二天上涨。市场押注加拿大央行明年3月加息,关注明天公布的加拿大CPI数据。

英镑暂时回升至1.34上方。本周关注英国10月失业率(周二)、CPI(周三)和零售销售(周五)。这些数据将在很大程度决定英国央行是否会在12月实施加息。
